  • In the unlikely event of a fire or other emergency, there may be the need to evacuate the site. Announcements will be made over the public address system and we ask everyone to assist by obeying the instruction of the police and fire stewards. The meeting point is at the Main Entrance in the Car Park field.

  • There are two first aiders on site while the event is open.

  • All visitors and trade stand holders should note that the ground in the area of the event and car park is uneven in parts and is adjacent to the Mill Lade & River Ettrick. Spectators should not cross roped off areas or fences as they have been put in place to protect visitors.

Particular attention must be paid to the riverbank. No-one is allowed to climb over fences. All possible precautions have bee taken to ensure the grounds are safe and secure but it should be noted that spectators and trade stand holders attend at their own risk. Vehicles parked in the car park are left entirely at the owner’s risk.

  • The drop-off point is on the main road near the entrance of the event. The pick-up point for taxis and public vehicles is at the entrance to the car park and will be sign posted. Please note we operate a one way system and you will be directed by our traffic team.

  • Lost children will always be taken to the Information Tent beside the Main Ring. If you find a lost child please tell a member of the Country & Food Festival team immediately and report to the Information Tent.

  • Please DO NOT leave your dog in the car, especially on warm sunny days. Keep your dog on a lead at all times and ensure it is under control. Poo bags are provided at entry to those that require them. Veterinary Services are on call if needed.

  • You will find all disabled toilets, which double as baby changing facilities, marked on the festival map.

  • Official photographers will be operating the event site, distinguished by official badges.

  • You’ll find water stations around the festival to take a moment to cool down your four legged friends.
